Justice Innovation Lab Executive Director Jared Fishman was a featured guest on the Louisiana Anthology podcast on September 8. In this episode, Jared talks about prosecuting the case of a post-Katrina police cover-up in New Orleans. As a former federal prosecutor, founder of Justice Innovation Lab, and author of Fire on the Levee, he tells the story of his struggle to unravel the cover-up of a police shooting, and subsequent incineration of the shooting victim, in Hurricane Katrina–era New Orleans.
